Upon entering the house, your eyes will inevitably drift towards the staircase: the white staircase that extends halfway from the attic and doesn't touch the ground is a complete departure from our previous imagination of what a staircase should be.
There are two ways to get upstairs. You can use a stool or table as a ladder, or you can use a portable staircase.

"We weren't originally planning on building a movable staircase underneath," Lin Jianhua said regretfully. "After all, a ladder takes up a lot of space indoors; a stool or table would suffice. In this room, you can return to..."kitten sizefeel"When he lived alone, Lin Jianhua would place the table and chairs under the stairs, and he would move up and down the stairs as nimbly and lightly as a cat."In order to receive the many elders and friends who came to visit,Push the portable ladder out for use.

"When designing the staircase, I wanted to maintain a light and airy feel as much as possible, and also to make the staircase more functional beyond the concept of a 'staircase'; when it's not a staircase, it can also be a hanging rack."
Desires and imaginations, edited and subtracted
"Although we initially discussed House 1/2, we still had a lot of desires and still considered it as a standard feature of urban apartments."

The initial interior design drawings show a very complete L-shaped kitchen, bathtub, and wardrobe. These onesIt remains a product of urban imagination. Through constant revisions and removals, some desires were eliminated from the interior design, and finally, the outline of half a house became clear. The L-shaped kitchen was transformed into a multi-functional, freely movable stove; a wooden bathtub replaced the original bathtub...They're not making wardrobes anymore..
"The design process is so interesting. First, remove your desires, leaving half, and then add some imagination."

And fireplaceThat isThe imagination added after 1/2. In Lin Jianhua's mind, a wooden house absolutely cannot be without a fireplace, so the imagination of offline life began again.spread.Drawing inspiration from international examples, we collaborated with ironworkers to develop a smokeless, saucer-shaped fireplace. It burns alcohol, thus producing no black smoke or burnt smell, eliminating the need for exhaust pipes and reducing emissions.Harm to the environmentThere was also the warm light and heat emanating from the flickering flames. In Lin Jianhua's mind, the offline wooden house is already in a very perfect state.

Lin Jianhua pointed to the view outside the floor-to-ceiling window.Rain shelter"This is also in the design drawings."Of"Imagine beyond." Open and thingsPieceSensory dialogue
Offline cabin(Or rather, the instrument)There is a core principle in product selection.value-It should inspire a sensory dialogue between individuals and objects..
"For exampleOur vision of curtains is to return to the interaction between the individual and nature, and to open up the connection between the senses and nature in nature. What offline life cares about isexperienceOnline, we are so used to using online images that our senses easily become overwhelmed.Fatigue fades. Lin Jianhua stepped forward and pulled back the honeycomb blinds on the French windows. "Here, we don't need to live in the city."Life"Imagination, for example, blocking out light."As long as the material is plain and has a light-filtering effect, curtains like these are perfect for everyday life..The unique light and shadows in the environment filter through the honeycomb curtains and into the wooden house, creating a gradual sense of light that shapes a hazy warmth. In the offline cabin, you can freely enjoy the scenery of the fields and the fresh air outside the window.

"You see, Venetian blinds are the same."Not only does it facilitate ventilation, it also provides visual shielding. The important thing is that you can use your ownskin and fingertipsGo and feel the changing outdoor light and the movement of the wind.
From managing grand ambitions to managing small matters, Lin Jianhua treats every detail of life with care.
The unique spirit of the log cabin

Lin Jianhua pointed out several differences between the offline cabins and other cabins.First, it must be visually pure.Tosa sushi and Tosa cypress from Kochi Prefecture are very suitable for offline log cabins. Lin Jianhua hopes to guide everyone to imagine the most primitive state of wood.Secondly, it avoids applying any protective paint or coating, emphasizing the natural beauty of bare skin and no makeup.Protective paint and coating will...It blocks people's tactile sensation from touching the wood, and prevents the wood from breathing..Thirdly, they will not pursue low-priced products..Instead, it allows customers to empathize with and imagine the value of offline life.

"In Japan, there's a similar item called 'Uncle's Hidden Hut,' where a small hut is placed in a corner of the courtyard of a detached house, serving as the owner's personal haven. The size and type of this hut are what I'm looking for, and in a way, it represents an offline lifestyle."The idea of occasionally retreating from the world but being able to return to online life at any time is to rekindle the senses of a home that have been obscured by the internet and busy urban life.Furniture can be taken outdoors, and a barbecue grill can be used in the kitchen.Camping chair as living room chair...All of this indicates that offline life extends outwards. "This is something that is done while..."Living in the houseIt gradually became clear. From the very beginning, the offline cabin has always been in harmony with and empathized with its environment.process.'

The continuously imagined offline life
"Later, we might open an 'experiential Airbnb' to let..."My friendscanGo to the cabin at your leisure"Live an offline life." If you can imagine an offline life, you can come and stay for a night and enjoy the leisurely and carefree experience of glamping-like boutique camping. If you fall in love with the time spent offline, you can also start looking for a place to build your own offline cabin; because with firsthand experience, you'll know that such a dream life is indeed feasible.

"The current offline log cabin is designed with a floor area of 45 square meters. The total cost was 2.5 million. In the future, we hope to develop another type, 36 square meters, costing 1.5 million, possibly a third the size of a House, and further optimize the imperfections of the original House 1/2. We will also make some adjustments to the spatial structure, as the current condition of the log cabin is relatively...It suits my personal taste"The initial concept will be adjusted towards a more general design."
"What's unique about me is that I transitioned from a humanities background to architectural education, which has given me a knack for seeing space in very small objects.Touch perceptionPerhaps this is what allows us to have a small place in the highly competitive field of architecture and interior design."Lin Jianhua smiled helplessly and said, 'Too many people are competing with me for my livelihood. Without a more comprehensive mindset, it's hard to go further. It's better to raise the bar and think about building a brand.'"The spirit is something that others cannot learn from schools or popular media.

As dusk falls, the lights of the offline cabins flicker among the trees, like the glow of a kerosene lamp. The scenery of life flowing from inside adds a touch of offline comfort to the dappled shade.
